产品属性
Guinea pig-anti-Sox10 polyclonal antibody
Catalog No: OB-PGP113
RRID: AB_2934230
Host Species: Guinea pig polyclonal antibodies
Important Notice: Antigen retrieval is recommended before IHC/IF staining.
Gene Synonyms: Sox10, SRY-box transcription factor 10
Species Reactivity: Mouse, rat, human, chicken, dog; Others have not been tested
Applications: IF/IHC-Fr: 1:500~2000 ICC: 1:500 WB: 1:2000~5000 IHC-P: 1:200~1000
Antigen Retrieval: For an alternative approach, tissue sections could be incubated in 1x Citrate antigen retrieval solution for 30 min at 85~95°C and cool down to room temperature before next procedure.
Important Notice: Usually, it is easier to get a positive IF/IHC signal in sections of juvenile animal tissues than that of adults. This antibody does not recognize other SoxE proteins (Sox8 and Sox9).
Immunogen: Mouse Sox10 peptide fused to GST.
Purification: Affinity purification
General Notes: FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY
Storage Buffer: pH7.4, PBS, 55mM Tris, 50mM Glycine, ~40% Glycerol, 0.1% potassium sorbate
Storage: Shipped at 4°C. Store at -20/4°C for months and -80°C for years. Avoid freeze/thaw cycle.
Background: SOX10 is a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors. SOX10 is a specific pan-oligodendrocyte marker in CNS, and also highly expressed in skin melanocytes, neural crest cells and Schwann cells. Conditional ablation of Sox10 gene in mice leads to myelin defects in both the CNS and PNS [3, 4]. Conventional null mutants lack peripheral glial cells, melanocytes, and autonomic and enteric neurons, adrenal medulla, and die neonatally or sooner [5-8].
